About Riley

Hello everybody, my name is Riley Carlson. I am currently a dual enrolled student at OSU and LB, my major is Design and Innovation Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I like to meet with an advisor at least once a term to make sure I am on the right track, my advisor recommended I take this class plus I am interested in learning more about marketing. To be quite honest I have never known "What I want to do when I grow up," I still struggle with this. A few things I have been interested in; Architecture, rebranding for small businesses, or commercial interior design for restaurants. However, my ideas change every month. 

I have taken a course before at OSU, we had to sell our own product, unfortunately it didn't go on for very long due to Covid. However, my job was marketing and I really didn't know much about marketing. I was a marketing major but I was so frustrated in the previous class I felt like marketing wasn't for me and changed my major. I would like to gain more knowledge of marketing overall I don't want to shun it over one bad experience. 

During my free time I am passionate about going to new places in Oregon! Recently I checked out Clear Lake by Sisters OR, it was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't recommend going to check it out enough! The picture included is from Clear Lake.
